Jose Eduardo “Joey” Carrillo, of Brownsville, TX, devoted father, brother, and friend, entered into eternal rest on September 15, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 9, 1990, in Brownsville, TX.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jose Antonio Carrillo, and is survived by his mother, Martina Gallegos; his children, Jose Alejandro Carrillo, Eduardo Carrillo, and Ellie Carrillo; his siblings, Alfredo Garcia and Betsy De la Fuente; and his loving girlfriend and partner, Karina Mendieta.
Joey will be remembered as a fun-loving soul whose joy and warmth touched everyone he met. He will be greatly missed by his family, his friends, and all who loved him.

Visitation begins on Thursday, September 18th at 1:00 p.m. The service ends at 9:00 a.m. the following morning, September 19th. The recitation of the Holy Rosary will take place at 6:00 p.m. on September 18th at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
