Jesus Lozano Elizondo, 81, of Matamoros Tamaulipas and Brownsville, Texas, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at Valley Baptist Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Apodaca, Nuevo León, Mexico.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Graciano Lozano and Virginia Elizondo, and his sisters, Josefa Lozano and Herlinda Muñoz.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Eutopia Lozano; his children, Ana María (Carlos Lastra), Jesús Héctor (Zuemy Lozano), and Araceli; his grandchildren, Fernando and Carlos Lastra, Guillermo Castro, Daniela, Emmanuel, and David Lozano; his sisters, Ernestina (José Garza) and Elvia Lozano; and numerous nieces, nephews and many extended family members and friends.
He was a kind-hearted, loving, and responsible man, playful yet always caring and affectionate towards others. He will be dearly missed.
Visitation is from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 5, 2025 with recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. The chapel opens at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home and a chapel service will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. and Interment is to follow at 11:00 a.m. to Guillen Community Cemetery.
