Jose Buitureida

Jose Buitureida, 61 of Brownsville, was a devoted husband, father, brother and, friend, who entered into eternal rest on June 18, 2025 in Houston, TX surrounded by his loving wife. He was born in Brownsville, TX on December 1963.

He is proceeded in death by his mother Teresa Buitureida and his sister Leticia Garcia.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Olga Buitureida, father Jose Ramirez Jr. (Rosa), son Miguel Portales, his brothers and sisters Jorge Garcia (Norma), Alfonso (Rosie) Garcia, Irma Garcia, Aurora Garcia, Albert Buitureida, Enrique Ramirez (Terri) and, Jose Alberto Ramirez (Josie). Various nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles and close friends. 

Jose loved spending time with his wife and family going on trips to various locations to include San Antonio and Las Vegas. Jose had a passion for sports to include the Dallas Cowboys, Houston Astros, Houston Rockets and, University of Houston. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. There will never be anyone like him. See you when we see you.

Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 28, 2025 with a Celebration of Life Service at 6:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Services conclude at the end of the evening.

    Rip. God bless to the Buitureida and Garcia family. May God give you the strength to get by from this tremendous loss. I remember Jose Being funny and super nice to me. I went to my first Astros game with the Garcia family and him. Thank you… Rip
