Angelina Resendiz, affectionately known as “Angie”, of Harlingen, TX, devoted daughter, sister, aunt, friend, and United States Navy Seaman, entered into eternal rest on June 9, 2025. She was born in Brownsville, Texas on October 31, 2003.
She is proceeded in death by her grandfather, Carlos Flores.
Angelina leaves to cherish her loving memory: her loving grandmother, Alma Flores; mother, Esmeralda Castle; brother, Juan P. Resendiz, Jr.; sisters, Jasmine Resendiz, Sophia Moros, and Aurora Castle; nephew, Artyom Resendiz, and a host of relatives, friends, and fellow United States Navy sailors who loved her. She will be greatly missed.
Though her time with us was far too short, Angelina’s vibrant spirit left a lasting mark on everyone who knew her. Radiant, joyful, and endlessly loving, she filled every room with warmth and laughter. Known for her deep empathy and ability to make others feel truly seen, Angelina formed bonds that ran deep and genuine. To her family, she was more than a seaman—she was a confidante and a source of unwavering support. The beach was her sanctuary, a reflection of the peace and happiness she brought to those around her. She dreamed of becoming a mother one day, and there is no doubt she would have embraced that role with the same love and devotion she gave so freely to others. Angelina’s legacy is one of compassion, strength, and boundless love. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know her.
A funeral service will take place on Friday, June 27, 2025, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, located at 114 E. Price Rd., Brownsville, TX. Military Honors will be performed at 6:30 p.m. on the church front lawn.
Following the funeral service, Angelina’s family warmly invites you to a candlelight vigil at 7:00 p.m. at the Brownsville Events Center.
All of those who have lost a loved one in military service are welcomed to bring a photo of their loved in their honor.
In celebration of Angelina’s radiant spirit, the family also invites everyone to wear white or bright colors to her services as a symbol of the light we each carry. Together, let us stand as beacons of hope and love, united in the message that Angie’s light cannot and will not be dimmed.
