Our beloved father, Jaime Davila Sr. passed away peacefully on March 23. He was a loving and devoted
husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and friend to all who knew him. His home was always open to friends and family, and he found great joy in hosting gatherings, filling the space with laughter, delicious food, and fun-filled conversation. He cherished time with his wife, Yolanda, and his children. His favorite pastime was traveling with his close-knit family, creating memories across the U.S. and Mexico. He will be deeply missed. His spirt, humor, and zest for life will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
He is preceded in death by his parents Guadalupe and Maria de Lourdes Davila; his son Luis Horacio Davila; and his two brothers Humberto Davila and Mario Davila; his father in law Simon Flores and his mother in law Victoria Flores; his sisters in law Enriqueta Vasquez, Lucy Robles and Beatriz Lopez.
He is survived by his wife, Yolanda Davila; his son Jaime Davila (Liliana Medina); his daughters Alicia Cuellar (Sonny Cuellar) and Laura Davila; and his grandchildren Jacob Cuellar, Nayelie Gallegos, and Kayla Davila; and his siblings Lourdes Garza (Alfredo Garza Sarabia), Yolanda Garcia de Davila, and Cesar Guadalupe Davila; and his brothers and sisters in laws, Domitila Davila (Mario Davila†), Neil and Olga Patterson, Tony and Vicky Garcia, and Larry and Ida Burkhart.
Visitation will take place on Friday, March 28 from 4-8 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home in Brownsville. A
rosary will be from 6-7. Services will conclude at the end of the evening. Services will conclude at the end of the evening. Funeral mass will be celebrated at The Lord of Devine Mercy church at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 29th.
