Jose Salvador Matrille, 64, of Brownsville, Texas, devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend,
entered eternal rest on Thursday, March 20, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was
born in Dominican Republic on November 26, 1960.
He is preceded in death by his father Jose Gabriel and his mother Rosa Melida Matrille.
He is survived by his wife, Annette Chico Matrille; his children, Roselyn Ortiz (Daniel), David
Matrille (Shirley), and Jose Frank Matrille. His stepdaughters, Mikzuanne and Minnette Moya, His
grandchildren, Isaiah Ortiz, Aaron Ortiz, Mikaela Matrille, Elijah Matrille, Jeneviev Matrille, Miguel Caraballo, Ana Caraballo, Eliana Nieves, and Eliannette Nieves; and his siblings, Gabriel, Altagracia, Teresa, Ramon, Josefina, Carmen, and Maribel.
Jose loved the Lord, and was a faithful Seventh-Day Adventist. He loved nature, fitness, teaching, sharing God’s gospel with everyone, and living a healthy lifestyle according to the health message of his faith.
The services will take place on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with the Celebration of Life scheduled from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., and the
Service at 5:00 p.m. Services will conclude at the end of the evening.

recipe, cousin I know you in a better place. Sorry we didn’t get to spend a lot of time together, but as long as we knew each other and child is the best thing.
