Gerardo Alejandro Rodriguez, 55, of Harlingen, Texas, devoted, husband, brother, and friend, entered eternal rest on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at Winsdor- Harlingen surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Brownsville, Texas on October 22, 1969.
He is preceded in death by his parents Juan and Julia Rodriguez; and his brother, Juan Rodriguez.
Left to cherish his memory are his life partner Emine Kuratmer; his sibilings; Tere Garcia (Miguel A.), Eva Vasquez (Eduardo), German Rodriguez (Aurora), Maria E. De La Rosa (Juan A.), Mary Alaniz (Ricardo), Alma R. Valencia, Leticia (Miguel Ruiz), Bernardo Rodriguez, and Lourdes Garcia; and numerous nephews and nieces, family and friends.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, March 23, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, with a Memorial Service to follow at 6:00 p.m. The chapel will open at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, March 24, 2025, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. A Chapel Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., followed by departure from the funeral home at 11:30 a.m. Interment will take place at 1:00 p.m. at the Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery, where military honors will be rendered.
