It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, and friend, Eduardo Rosas Jr., who peacefully passed away on February 25, 2025 at the age of 84. He was recently preceded in death by his devoted wife of 63 years, Francisca Rosas, a loss he faced with great sorrow but also great strength.
Eduardo was born on February 7, 1941 in Brownsville, TX. At sixteen he met Francisca and together they built a beautiful family and a home filled with love, laughter, and warmth. He was a guiding light and a true source of joy and wisdom.
A man of deep faith, Eduardo was an active member of Templo El Divino Rey. His service to the church was a reflection of his commitment to kindness, compassion, and community. He was well known for his generosity and jokes, always willing to lend a hand.
One of his greatest passions was cooking. His home was always filled with the delicious smells of meals shared with family and friends. His meals were a symbol of the love and care he put into everything he did.
Eduardo will be deeply missed by his children, grandchildren, family, and all those who were blessed to know him. His legacy of love, faith, and kindness will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
May he rest in peace, reunited with the love of his life, Francisca.
A service to honor Eduardo’s life will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 28, 2025 with a prayer service commencing at 6:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. The chapel opens at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2025 with a chapel service scheduled to begin at 12:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Interment is to follow at 1:00 p.m. to Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
