Juan Solis Jr., 87, of Brownsville, Texas, devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend entered eternal rest on Sunday, February 09, 2025, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Brownsville, Texas on February 08, 1938.
He is preceded in death by his wife Margarita Herrera Solis; his parents Juan A. Solis and Estela Recio; siblings Raquel Martinez, Leovigildo Solis, Ramiro Vega, and Antonio Vega.
Juan is survived by his children Sandra Eich (Gary Eich), Norma Linda Solis (Jesus Gonzalez), Melissa Solis (Antonio Reyes Jr.); grandchildren Dennis Ortiz, Americo Ramirez, Valerie Clark, Sarah Eich, Devin Serna; great-grandchild Gabriel Ivan Ortiz; sisters Esmeralda Vega Dominguez, Nora Vega, and Yolanda Solis Torres.
Visitation is scheduled from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 28, 2025, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation continues from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 01, 2025, with a Mass of Resurrection at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church and interment to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
