Elfego Uribe Salinas, de 90 años, residente de Brownsville, TX, devoto padre, hermano, abuelo, bis-abuelo, y amigo, entró en descanso eterno el viernes, 15 de febrero del 2025 en su residencia, rodeado de sus seres queridos. Elfego nació el 9 de febrero de 1935 en Dr. Coss, Nuevo León, Mexico.
Le preceden en la muerte sus padres Andrea Salinas y Cruz Uribe; su esposa Alicia Uribe Soto; su hijo Oscar Uribe Soto; sus hermanos y hermana Ernesto Uribe, Baldomero Uribe, Miguel Uribe, y José Cruz Uribe, y su hermana Victoria Uribe.
Le sobreviven para atesorar su memoria su hijo e hijas, Juan Cruz Uribe, Nora Alicia Uribe, Norma Bush (Alder Bush Jr.), Elfego Uribe Jr. (Ana Uribe); sus nietos, Guadalupe Uribe Conejo (Carmen Lara), Evangelina Uribe Conejo, Oscar Uribe Conejo, Estefanía Uribe (Carlos Contreras), Juan Cruz Uribe Jr.( Beatriz Uribe), Ednaly J. Uribe, Santana Leal Jr. (Belinda Leal), Alicia Leal, Sebastián Uribe, Regis Uribe, Dominick A. Bush, y Maximilian Bush; y sus bisnietos Janna Guadalupe Uribe, Liam Sebastián Uribe, Anastacia Contreras, Juan Daniel Uribe, Mauricio Ceballos, Liam Leal y Stella Leal.
La velación se llevará a cabo de 1:00 p.m. a 8:00 p.m. el miércoles, 18 de febrero de 2025, con la recitación del Santo Rosario a las 6:00 p.m. en Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. La capilla abre a las 11:30 a.m. el jueves, 20 de febrero de 2025 y un servicio de capilla se celebrará a las 2:00 p.m. en Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. El sepelio se llevará a cabo a las 3:00 p.m. en Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Elfego Uribe Salinas, 90, of Brownsville, Texas, devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, entered into eternal rest on February 15, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Dr. Coss, Nuevo Leon, Mexico on February 9, 1935.
He is preceded in death by his parents Andrea Salinas and Cruz Uribe; his wife, Alicia Uribe Soto; his son, Oscar Uribe Soto; his brothers Ernesto Uribe, Victoria Uribe, Baldomero Uribe, Miguel Uribe and Jose Cruz Uribe, and his sister Victoria Uribe.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Juan Cruz Uribe, Nora Alicia Uribe, Norma Bush (Adler Bush Jr.), and Elfego Urbe Jr. (Ana Uribe); his greandchildren Guadalupe Uribe Conejo (Carmen Lara), Evangelina Uribe Conejo, Oscar Uribe Conejo, Estefanía Uribe (Carlos Contreras), Juan Cruz Uribe Jr.( Beatriz Uribe), Ednaly J. Uribe, Santana Leal Jr. ( Belinda Leal ), Alicia Leal, Sebastián Uribe, Regis Uribe, Dominick A. Bush, y Maximilian Bush’; and his great-grandchildren, Janna Guadalupe Uribe, Liam Sebastián Uribe, Anastacia Contreras, Juan Daniel Uribe, Mauricio Ceballos, Liam Leal y Stella Leal.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 with recitation of the Holy Rosary commencing at 6:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. The chapel opens at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 20, 2025 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with a chapel service at 2:00 p.m. and interment to follow at 3:00 p.m. at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
