Francisco Carlos Garza

Francisco Carlos Garza, 78, of Brownsville, Texas, devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, entered into eternal rest on February 13, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Brownsville, Texas on February 21, 1946.

He is preceded in death by his parents Alfredo Garza and Carlota Garza, and his siblings Godofredo “Fred” Garza, and Laura Ruiz.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Josefina “Josie” Garza, and his daughters Claudia Garza and Veronica Houk, step-daughter Ida Cisneros, sister Rosalva “Lulu” Jump, brother Carlos “Charlie” Garza, and granddaughter Sarah Houk. He will be greatly missed. 

Visitation will be held at Sunset Funeral home on Monday, February 17, 2025, beginning at 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 PM. Chapel will open on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. with a chapel service at 2:00 p.m. and interment to follow at 3:00 p.m. at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
