Rafael Beltran 73, of Brownsville, Texas, devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend entered eternal rest on Sunday, February 02, 2025, at Sunshine Haven in Olmito, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Brownsville, Texas on May 05, 1951.

He is preceded in death by his parents Roberto and Manuela Beltran; siblings Robert Beltran Jr., Elva Benavidez, Minerva Sanchez, Rosario Beltran, and Marysol Beltran.

Rafael is survived by his sisters Virginia Lopez, Margie Tejada, Ester Garcia, Gracie Nuncio, Corina Cantu, Yolanda Beltran, Norma Yebra, and Maribel Beltran.

My brother, a veteran of the Marine Corps., was a devoted family man and friend, with a deep love for music.  His distinguished Military career, which included. Service as a sharpshooter, was marked by dedication and perseverance.  He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing and sports and was beloved by many for his generous spirit and willingness to lend a helping hand.  His passing leaves a void in the lives of many who knew him.  He will be deeply missed. May his memory be a blessing to all who knew him.

Visitation is scheduled from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 06, 2025, with recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation continues from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 07, 2025, with a chapel service at 10:00 a.m. and interment to follow at 1:00 p.m. at Rio Grande Valley State Veteran’s Cemetery, in Mission, Texas.
