Jesus Lozano, Jr., passed away at age 76 on Monday, January 13, 2025 surrounded by loving family.

Jesus was born January 12, 1949 in Brownsville, TX, the son of Olga and Jesus Lozano, Sr. He graduated from Brownsville High School in 1969, then joined the U.S. Army. He served until 1972, and was a decorated Vietnam Veteran. 

Jesus married the love of this life, Irma Yolanda, on August 17, 1974. Together, they raised 2 daughters, Irma Cristela and Leticia. He was a loving grandfather to his 2 grandsons, John and Alex Meren. 

He was known for his zest for life, always living it to the fullest. He loved to travel and explore new places, play and win big in the casinos, barbecue, build clocks, and above all spend time with his loved ones.

Remaining to cherish his memory are his wife Irma Yolanda; children Leticia Lozano, Irma Cristela (Peter) Meren; Brothers, Rosendo, Carlos, and Leonardo Lozano; Sisters, Olga Lozano, Connie Caddle, Anna Cerda, Yolanda Morales; Sister-in-Law, Cecilia Guajardo; Grandchildren, John and Alex Meren; among many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He is preceded in death by his parents Olga and Jesus Lozano, Sr., and Brothers Ruben and Joel Lozano.

Jesus was a strong, loving, fun, energetic, and kind man, who will be missed by all who were blessed to have known him. 

Visitation is scheduled from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2025 with Military Honors commencing at 4:00 p.m. followed by the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Services conclude at the end of the evening.
