Graciela Hernández, 81, amada esposa, madre, abuela, bisabuela, hermana, tía y pastora falleció mientras dormía la mañana del 2 de enero de 2025. Sus padres fueron Jesús José y María Magdalena Ornelas (de soltera Castañeda).
Criada en un hogar amoroso, la segunda mayor de 12 hermanos, se graduó del Instituto de Teología Bíblica Bethania en 1969 en Tijuana, Baja California. Se casó con José Luis Hernández en 1970 e iniciaron juntos su trayectoria de vida en el ministerio. Dieron la bienvenida a dos hijas, Ruth (Michael) Martinez y Milagro (Jesús) Resendez y dos hijos, Joseph (María) Hernández y Pablo (Keila) Hernández.
Le sobrevive su amado esposo de 54 años de matrimonio, sus cuatro hijos, una nieta, Valerie, y cinco nietos: Joey, Andy, Luis Roberto, Pablo, Rodrigo y un bisnieto, Benny.
Fue una esposa admirable y madre que siempre estuvo ahí cuando su familia más la necesitaba, ofreciéndole apoyo, sabiduría, amor en abundancia y la palabra de Dios. Pastora y consejera para muchos, fue amable, atenta, compasiva y paciente. Una mujer de fe inquebrantable trajo calidez y humor a todos dejando un legado de devoción y amor a Dios. Su misión era compartir el evangelio de salvación con todos los que la rodeaban.
Ella vivió según la Palabra Viva de Dios como se describe en Proverbios 31:10., “Mujer virtuosa, quién la hallará? Porque su estima sobrepasa largamente a la de las piedras preciosas. El corazón de su marido está en ella confiado, Y no carecerá de ganancias. Le da ella bien y no mal todos los días de su vida. Busca lana y lino, Y con voluntad trabaja con sus manos.”
El velorio se llevará a cabo a partir de las 2:30 p.m. a 6:00 p. m. el martes 7 de enero de 2025, con un servicio de Celebración de Vida a las 6:00 p.m., en el Templo El Salvador ubicado en 1605 S Sam Houston Blvd St., San Benito, Texas. El Templo El Salvador abrirá sus puertas a las 10:00 a.m. para velación y servicio conmemorativo el miércoles 8 de enero de 2025; A continuación se llevará acabo el sepelio a las 12:00 p.m. en el Parque Memorial Mont Meta.

Graciela Hernandez, 81, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and pastor passed away in her sleep on the morning of January 2, 2025. She was born to Jesus Jose and Maria Magdalena Ornelas (nee Castañeda) on August 9, 1943.
Raised in a loving household, the second eldest of 12 children, she graduated from the Bible Institute of Theology Bethania in 1969 in Tijuana, Baja California. She married Jose Luis Hernandez in 1970 and began their lifelong journey together in ministry. They welcomed two daughters, Ruth (Michael) Martinez and Milagro (Jesus) Resendez and two sons, Joseph (Maria) Hernandez and Pablo (Keila) Hernandez.
She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, her four children, one granddaughter Valerie, five grandsons: Joey, Andy, Luis Roberto, Pablo, and Rodrigo and one great-grandchild, Benny.
She was an amazing wife and mother who was always there when her family needed her the most, offering support, wisdom, love in abundance, and the word of God. A pastor and counselor to many, she was kind, caring, compassionate, and patient. A woman of unwavering faith she brought warmth and humor to all leaving behind a legacy of devotion and love for God. Her mission was sharing the gospel of salvation to all around her.
She lived by the Living Word of God as described in Proverbs 31:10, “Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil. She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life. She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.”
Visitation will be held from 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, with a Celebration of Life service at 6:00 p.m., at Templo El Salvador, 1605 S Sam Houston Blvd St., San Benito, Texas. Templo El Salvador will open at 10:00 a.m. for viewing and memorial service on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, interment will follow at 12:00 p.m. at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
