Juan Montelongo 74, of Brownsville, TX, devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend, entered into eternal rest on December 31, 2024, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Matamoros, Tamaulipas on July 13, 1950.
Juan is preceded in death by his mother, Enedina Reyna, sister Irma Ramirez. He will be greatly missed.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Felicitas Montelongo, children Nancy Galindo, Juan (Isabel) Montelongo, Homero (Claudia Gabriela) Montelongo, Luis (Ivonne) Montelongo, Christian Montelongo, Jesse Montelongo and Ashley Galindo. His 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, his sibling Julio Reyna and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation and Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025, from 12:00 p.m -1:00pm for Family and 1:00pm to 8:00 p.m. to anyone that would like to pay their respects, with a Holy Rosary service at 6:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home & Chapel will open at 9:00 a.m., on Saturday, January 04, 2024, to say our last goodbyes and burial to follow at Guillen Cemetery at 11:00 a.m.
