Ruben Cardenas

Ruben Cardenas, 67, of Brownsville, Texas, devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at Valley Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Mexico on December 23, 1956.

He is preceded in death by his parents Francisco and Aurora Cardenas; and his brother Lazaro Cardenas.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Elizabeth Cardenas; his three sons Lazaro Ruben Cardenas, Ruben Cardenas Jr. (Cynthia), and Roberto Carlos Cardenas; and his three grandchildren Chris, Giovanni, and Giselle; his siblings Gloria Ramirez, Susana Cardenas, Aurora Rodriguez, Griselda Olivares, Marisa Cardenas, Sandra Cano, Francisco Cardenas, Javier Cardenas, and Manuel Cardenas.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 26, 2024, with recitation of The Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Services conclude at the end of the evening.
