Josefina G. Loya of Brownsville, Texas devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend entered eternal rest December 11 at Spanish Meadows. She was born in Brownsville Texas on February 7, 1931.
Josefina was a strong woman who was dedicated to family. She was honest and a hard worker. She faced and overcame her obstacles head on. Her strength and resilience live on through her family.
She is proceeded in death by her parents, Servando and Josefina Gonzalez, her husband, Jose Loya; her son Salvador Loya; her siblings Ofelia Garza, Inelda de Leon, Gilbert Gonzalez Servando Gonzalez, and Yolanda Trevino.
Left to cherish her memory or her children, Silvia Garcia, Servando Loya, Sergio Loya, and Sigi Loya; and her sister Ninfa Rodríguez.
Visitation for Mrs. Josefina will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, December 16, 2024 with recitation of The Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. The chapel opens at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home and a funeral mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. at St. Luke’s Catholic Church. Services will conclude at the end of the mass.
