It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Rodolfo (Rudy) Arroyo.  Rodolfo was a graduate of Brownsville High School class of 1970, and pursued a career as a Social Worker. His qualifications and astute observations made it possible for families and individuals to have a better quality of life. He devoted his life in helping others, and always offered better solutions for them to find some form of mental, physical, and spiritual stability, so that they too would never lose hope. He was a life changing mentor, a positive force within society, and significantly impacted the lives of all those he met. His charisma, devotion to work, and love towards his family will live in our hearts forever.

Rudy was a warm, loving man who touched the hearts of all who knew him. I met him shortly after he and my best friend, Tom Tunney, had met. It was immediately apparent that he was a special person who could see the real issue in any conversation and lead it to a positive outcome. My prayers will be with Tom and with Rudy’s devoted family through this ordeal, knowing that his everlasting reward will be more than compensation for our earthly sorrows.

If I might paraphrase St. Augustine : If anyone finds fault that I wept for my friend, the man who had died before my eyes, who wept for me that I might live before Your eyes, oh God, then let him weep himself before You for my sins; for You are the Father of all the faithful in Christ.

    Blazennyj pokoj, vičnaja jemu pamjat
    Blessed repose and eternal memory
