Edelmiro “Milo” Garza, 80, of Brownsville, Texas, devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, cousin, and friend, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at Valley Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Mexico, on September 17, 1944.
He is preceded in death by his mother Elvira G. Garza and his father Manuel Garza Saenz; his great granddaughter Lily Arya Butler; and his sister Maria Consepcion (Ringham) Garza.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Amelia Garza Garcia; his children Griselda Garza, Claudia Garza, Maria Isabel Garza, and Edelmiro Garza Jr.; his step children Antonio Garza, Adrian Garza, and Angel Luis Garza; his grandchildren Brianna Renne Rodriguez, Bianca Alyssa Megrew, Adrianna Inez Garza, Valerie Cruz, Evan Milo Garza and Hekter Garza; his brothers Jose Guadalupe Garza and Juan Garza; and numerous cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 1, 2024, with a prayer service 6:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. The chapel opens at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, December 2, 2024 with a chapel service commencing at 10:00 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Interment is to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Guillen Community Cemetery.
