Severiano Elias Rico, 61, of Brownsville, Texas, devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend, entered into eternal rest on Monday, November 25, 2024, at Valley Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Mexico, on February 11, 1963.
He is preceded in death by his mother Fidela Rico Arredondo and his father Bartolo Elias Torres.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Catalina Elias; his children Jorge Antonio Elias (Carla Elias), Edgar Fernando Elias, David Elias, and Erika Elias (Favorita); his grandchildren Jorge Elias, Jairo Elias, Mario Zamorano, Miguel Zamorano, Patricia Zamorano, and Briana Galicia; and his siblings Toribio Elias, Efren Elias, Julia Villa, and Felipa Moraida.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, with recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. The chapel opens at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 with a chapel service commencing at 12:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Interment is to follow at 1:00 p.m. at Buena Vista Burial Park.
