Maria Luisa Medina, 49, of Brownsville, TX, devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend entered eternal rest on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at Valley Baptist Medical Center Brownsville, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 10, 1975, in Mexico.
She is preceded in death by her father Arnulfo Martinez.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Jose Medina; two children Stephanie Castro and Eduardo Castro; her mother Jacinta Martinez; her brothers and sisters Ignacio Martinez, Gregorio Martinez, Rosalinda Martinez, Maria del Carmen Martinez, Maria Elena Martinez, Crispin Martinez, Arnulfo Martinez, Jose Martinez and Jacinto Martinez.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 22, 2024, with recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. The chapel opens at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 23, 2024, and a funeral mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment is to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Guillen Community Cemetery.
