Carmen Guerrero

Carmen Guerrero, 85, of Brownsville, TX, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November 9, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Aguascalientes, Mexico on September 11, 1937.

She is preceded in death by her parents Margarito & Irene Guerrero; and her son Arturo (Ardy) Guerrero.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 65 years Efrain Guerrero Sr.; her three children, Efrain Guerrero (Gloria), Carmen G. Castro (Juan F.), Veronica G. Ortiz (Leo); her grandchildren, Laura A. Fortner (Greg), Nicholas A. Rodriguez (Blake), Leo A. Ortiz, Nayzza A. Ortiz, Madelin G. Guerrero, Meriah A. Garcia (Stephanos), Arturo L. Guerrero, Lizette M. Castro, Julian A. Castro (Lindsey), Cristian D. Castro; her Great Grandchildren, Tank I. Fortner, Aspen E. Fortner, Steel A. J. Fortner, Dash F. Fortner, King L. Fortner, Luciano L. Garcia, Abraham A. Castro, and Elizabeth J. Castro; her siblings Arturo Guerrero (Benita), Juana M. Guerrero (Esteban); and numerous family and friends.

Carmen’s family will always remember her as loving, generous, compassionate, fabulous, fashionable, beautiful, empathetic, timeless, nurturing, and a great cook. We will cherish her memory and legacy.

Visitation is scheduled from 1:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 13th, 2024 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with a 6:00 p.m. family service.

Final viewing or paying your respects will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 14th, 20234 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with interment following at 11:00 a.m. to Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.

    My deepest condolences to all her family. Carmen was a vivacious person. She raised a beautiful family and was always so loving and accepting . She will be greatly missed!

    So sorry to hear about Mrs. Guerrero’s passing. May she rest in peace. She was such a a nice and caring person with everyone. Very special to all of us who had the pleasure of knowing her. Condolences to the all the family.
