Nicolas (Nico) Montano, Sr., 74, of Brownsville, TX entered into eternal rest August 26th, 2024. He was born on March 20, 1950 in Rancho del Jarito to Concepcion Gomez and Jose Maria Montano. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Concepcion C. Montano, his 4 daughters Cristina Montano, Claudia Montano, Connie Montano, Laura Montano and his son Nicolas Montano Jr. He is also survived by his 20 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 3 brothers and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 30, 2024 with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Services at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home conclude at the end of the evening.
Mass will be held Monday, September 2, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at San Pedro Catholic Church, 7602 Old Military Rd., Brownsville, TX 78520. Interment of the ashes will follow to San Pedro cemetery.
