Gregorio Q. Rodriguez

Gregorio (Greg) Q. Rodriguez, 71, of Brownsville, TX entered into eternal rest August 23rd, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 12th, 1953. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle (tío) and friend.       

He is preceded in death by his parents Jesus and Adela Rodriguez and siblings Jesus Rodriguez Jr., Guadalupe Rodriguez, Gilberto Rodriguez and Rogelio Rodriguez.

Left to cherish and keep his memory are wife, Ofelia Rodriguez; his children, Gregorio Rodriguez Jr. (Julie), Sandra Rodriguez, Patricia Rodriguez (Omar); his grandchildren, Devin, Benjamin, Virginia, Salvador, Lucas, Marcus, Hugo, Sadie and siblings Sergio Rodriguez (Minerva), Hector Rodriguez, Ernesto Rodriguez, Daniel Rodriguez (Hilda) and Magdalena Espinoza (Richard). Greg also leaves 5 brother-in-laws, 6 sister-in-laws and many nieces and nephews.

Greg was a man of many loves. The love of laughter, the love of relaxation and most importantly, the love he had for his family. He was known by his family as a provider and a hard worker. He provided stability and care throughout his time. Work was work but his time home was what he valued. He made it his life’s duty to make sure his

family never suffered any needs or wants. His children and especially his grandchildren reaped the benefits mostly from this behavior. He was a constant in his family’s lives and was a reliable source of support, love and happiness. His smile lit up any dark room and his humor was a gift that lives on through his children and grandchildren. He was a joy to be around, his charm and charisma knew no boundaries. His legacy is one to uphold and his spirit will live on through his loved ones. He has touched the hearts of many. He will never be forgotten, he will always be remembered and he will undoubtedly be loved always and forever.

A Celebration of Life service is scheduled for August 28th, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 pm with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. Services conclude at the end of the evening. Funeral services have been entrusted to Sunset Memorial Funeral Home at 657 Springmart Blvd. 956- 350-8485.
