Maria Generosa Villafranca, 63, of Brownsville, Texas, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, entered eternal rest on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 25, 1961, in Mexico.
She is preceded in death by her parents Idelfonso Figueroa and Teresa Figueroa and a brother Guadalupe Figueroa.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband Jorge Dario Villafranca, children Liliana Villafranca, Jorge Villafranca, Idelfonso Villafranca, Jesus Villafranca and a granddaughter Natalia Villafranca; her sisters also survive her Maria Elena Figueroa, Aide Figueroa, Gloria Figueroa, and Elvia Figueroa.
She will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 20, 2024 with recitation of The Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. The chapel opens at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, June 20, 2024 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, with a Funeral Mass at 2:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
