Olga Lydia Diaz, 56, of Brownsville, TX, devoted, sister, aunt and friend, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Brownsville, TX on November 15, 1967.

Olga was a fun and loving person that enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She had a love for gardening, puzzles, sewing, cooking, traveling, and George Strait music.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Texas Oncology, Dr. N. Sarhill and staff, Amedisys Hospice care nurses and staff, Mueller Water Products, Inc. and Olga’s angels: Esmy, Bill, Jazzmyn Bennett, Rachel and Xavier Leal, Jose and Floris Galvan, Gina Gonzalez, Leonor Gonzalez, Diana and Oscar Arizmendi, Araceli Galvan, Felipe Garcia and Angela G. Matus.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Antonio Q. Diaz and her mother Guadalupe Diaz;

Left to cherish her memory are her brothers Juan A. Diaz, Tomas Diaz, Jose (Edna) Diaz; and her sisters Leticia Diaz (Jose R) and Amanda De Rosario (Richard S.); her nephews Anthony Diaz (Brooke Weber), Alec J. Diaz, Dominic J. Diaz (Alondra), and Sergio A. Diaz; her nieces Dariela R. Diaz, Elizabeth H. Rodriguez, and Christine M. Rodriguez; her grandnieces Avery B. Diaz, Georgia A. Diaz and Lupita Diaz.

Visitation is scheduled from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 29, 2024 with a prayer service at 6:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. The chapel opens at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. A chapel service is to be held at 1:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home and interment is to follow at 2:00 p.m. to Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.

    Olga was a dear coworker and friend. I enjoyed her sweet smile, funny disposition, and her kindest she brought to the world. She made work so much brighter. I will miss her tremendously and my thoughts and prayers go out to her family and all of Mueller who will miss her so much.
