It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Angel Cortina Barroso. A devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend, whose life graced all those who knew him. Angel departed from this world on April 08, 2024, at the age of 52. He was born on September 24, 1971 in Brownsville, TX, to Maria de la Luz Cortina and Jose Angel Barroso Campos.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose Angel Barroso Campos and Maria de la Luz Cortina.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Cipriana Ruelas De Barroso, and his children Luis Angel Barroso, Erik Eduardo Barroso, Jeffrie Daniel Barroso, and Angie Denisse Barroso; his siblings, Gerardo Barroso, Jose Barroso, Liliana Barroso, and Susana Barroso.
Visitation is scheduled from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 11, 2024, with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
Visitation will resume on Friday, April 12, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The funeral procession will depart from Sunset Memorial Funeral Home at 11:30 a.m. Mass of Resurrection will commence at 12:00 p.m and will be celebrated at Lord of Divine Mercy Catholic Church, located at 650 E Alton Gloor Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78526. Christian burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens (4464 Old Port Isabel Rd, Brownsville, TX 78526) at approximately 1:30 p.m.
