Enrique Escobedo Sr.

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Enrique Escobedo Sr., a beloved family member, cherished friend, avid music enthusiast and eternal joker, who left us on April 2, 2024.

Born in Matamoros, Tamaulipas on October 23, 1945, Enrique’s life was a vibrant tapestry woven with love, laughter, and music, embodying the joy and light he brought into every room.

Above all, Enrique treasured the time spent with his family and friends. His generous spirit, infectious laughter, and unwavering support were the foundation of numerous cherished relationships. Enrique’s playful manner and love for joking were his signatures, making every encounter with him a source of happiness and laughter. He had the unique ability to lift spirits, spread joy and turn ordinary moments into memorable ones.

Even when battling illness, Enrique’s first thought was always for others. His readiness to help, no matter the time or his own condition, was a testament to his profound selflessness. Enrique was invariably the first to offer aid when a loved one was ill, embodying a spirit of service and compassion that knew no bounds.

Enrique’s spirit was marked by an unparalleled generosity and a knack for finding humor in every situation. He navigated life with a steadfast belief in the joy of laughter and the importance of being there for others- traits that defined his very essence. Whether facing strangers in serious business or enjoying joyful outings with family, Enrique was always the one to light up the room with his jokes and infectious laughter.

An avid lover of oldies music, Enrique’s passion for the melodies of the past was a well-known aspect of his life. Music was more than a hobby; it was a companion and a source of solace and celebration. With his trusty speaker always at hand, Enrique was the heart and soul of gatherings, sharing the rhythms and beats that moved him. His music sessions during coffee outings with loved ones became legendary, encapsulating the essence of his joyful spirit. These gatherings, filled with laughter, music, and stories, became a beloved ritual for Enrique and those lucky enough to join him.

His absence leaves a profound void, but his legacy of love, kindness, and the sheer joy of living will forever resonate with us. Enrique’s light-heartedness, combined with his deep love for music and family, crafted a life that was not only lived but celebrated at every turn.

As we bid him farewell, we embrace the love, laughter and music he left behind, finding comfort in the knowledge that his spirit continues to guide and inspire us.
