Carolina Emma Aguirre

Carolina Emma R. Aguirre, 78, of Brownsville, Texas, passed away Friday, April 05, 2024. She was born on July 23, 1945 in Brownsville, Texas to the late Jose Julio Rodriguez and Aurora M. Rodriguez.

She is preceded in death by her husband Francisco G. Aguirre†; her parents Jose Julio and Aurora Rodriguez†; her sisters Maria del Jesus Cisneros†, Guadalupe Elena Rodriguez†, and Maria De los Angeles Flores†; her brothers Jose Julio Rodriguez Jr. †, Rosalio Eleazar Rodriguez†, Juan Roberto Rodriguez†, Thomas Alfonso Rodriguez†, and Felix Amos Rodriguez†.

She is survived by her daughters and sons, Monica (Hector) Sanchez, Esteban (Janie) Aguirre, Liliana Aguirre, Eloy F. (Mary) Aguirre, Javier (Veronica) Aguirre and Norma Aguirre (Luis Garcia); and her 16 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild; and her sisters Maria Luisa Rodriguez, and Aurora Dorsett.

The pallbearers will be Luis Garcia, Jorge A. Rodriguez Jr., Eliberto Cruz, David Martinez, Javier Aguirre Jr., Juan De la Lastra Jr., Alberto Hernandez, Juan Pablo Diaz, and Hector Sanchez.

Visitation is scheduled from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 with recitation of The Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. The chapel opens at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. A Mass of Resurrection is to be held at 12:00 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church and interment is to at 1:00 p.m. at Buena Vista Burial Park.
