Paula Claire Mendoza, 96, of left this world on March 21, 2024. She peacefully passed away of natural causes surrounded by her loving family.

Paula was born on January 9, 1928, in Harlingen, TX. She has married in August of 1944 to the love of her life Manuel Mendoza Gonzales. Her motherhood began in 1945, and was a loving mother providing for her 16 children.

Paula touched thousands of lives during her time. The lives most important to her were loved ones. An outstanding, perfect example of a human.

Paula was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Mendoza Gonzales; parents Jose Guadalupe Claire and Guadalupe Alvarez; her children Martina, Manuel, Vicente, and Maria del Consuelo.

Left to cherish her memory is her brother Roberto Claire; her children Esperanza Cabrera, Gonzalo Mendoza, Francisco De Jesus Mendoza, Antonio Guadalupe Mendoza, Rosa M. Mendoza, Maria Monica Mendoza, Nestor Javier Mendoza, Paula Marylina Isassi, Griselda Perez; her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.

Visitation is scheduled from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, March 25, 2024, with a Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. On Tuesday, March 26, 2024, the chapel opens at 11:30 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with a Mass of Resurrection at 2:00 p.m. at Lord of Divine Mercy Catholic Church with burial to follow at 3:00 p.m. at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
