Maria H. Lugo de Nieto, 67, of Brownsville, Texas, devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on Wednesday, March 06, 2024. She was born in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico on October 28, 1956.
She is preceded in death by her mother Maria Elena Garcia and her father Ramon Lugo.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband Juan Nieto, her children Nadia Nieto, Juan E. Nieto (Mariana Martinez), and Maria Isabel Nieto de Rangel (Hugo Rangel); her children Hugo Rangel Jr., Galilea Rangel, Luca Rangel, and Milani Rangel.
Visitation is scheduled from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 8, 2024, with a Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. On Saturday, March 9, 2024, the chapel opens at 12:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with a Chapel Service scheduled at 2:00 p.m. with burial to follow at Guillen Community Cemetery at 3:00 p.m.
