Eutiquio Torres Alejos, 88 of Brownsville, TX devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, entered eternal rest on March 4, 2024, in Brownsville, TX at Valley Baptist Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 30, 1935 in San Luis Potosi, Mexico.

Mr. Eutiquio Torres worked as a salesman, then he was self-employed for many years. His last job before retirement was at Amfels. Some of his hobbies were, watching wrestling, fishing with his family, watching telenovelas, but his favorite past time was reading Marcial La Fuente Novelas. Mr. Eutiquio Torres loved Mexican food, his all-time favorite foods were Menudo and Chile Relleno (when his daughters weren’t there *wink wink*). In his younger years he loved to dress in cowboy attire. He was extremely proud of his children who loved him dearly. His family had many nicknames for him which included, “cabecita de algodón”, “flor de garambullo”, “mi huesito”, “el ruco”, and “papi, thank you”.

He is preceded in death by his parents Sixto Torres and Serapia Torres; his son Jesus Torres; and his siblings Pablo Alejos, Joaquina Alejos, and Maria Cruz Alejos.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 65 years Maria Martha Torres; his children Sixto Santiago Torres (Julia), Maria Elena Torres (Rosa), Maria Soledad Rodriguez (Rene), Rosa Maria Trujillo (Pablo †), Maria Aide Perez (Gabino), Martin Manuel Torres (Minerva); 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 06, 2024 with recitation of The Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Services will conclude at the end of the evening.
