Petra Sanchez de Jesus, 90, of Brownsville, Texas, devoted aunt, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on Thursday February 22, 2024, at Valley Baptist Medical Center Brownsville surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Mexico, on June 29, 1933.
She is preceded in death by her father, Domitilo Sanchez, mother Tobias de Jesus, and a cousin Maria Francisca Rodriguez.
Left to cherish her memory are brother Albino Sanchez, sister-in-law Maria Sanchez, nephews Enrique Sanchez, Sammy Sanchez, and Alvaro Sanchez, a niece Brenda Ortiz.
Visitation is scheduled from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. The chapel will open at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, with a Chapel Service at 12:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Interment to follow at 1:00 p.m. at Guillen Community Cemetery.
