Roberto Cano Longoria Jr., 55, of Brownsville, TX, devoted son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, entered rest on Friday, February 23, 2024, at Valley Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Brownsville, TX on October 05, 1968.

He is preceded in death by his mother Anna (Anita) Maria Gomez Longoria.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving children Emily Maria Fuentes and Monica Nicole Longoria, his grandchildren Catalina Jane Carter, Julius Cain Carter, and Dimitri Wade Carter; his father Roberto Cano Longoria; his brothers Alejandro Longoria, Cesar Longoria and David Longoria; his sister Anna Maria Longoria Chavez; his brother in law Rony Eduardo Chavez; his nephews Jullian Anthony Martinez & Cesar (CJ) Luis Longoria; and his nieces Olivia Diana Longoria Toraño, Brianna Sofia Chavez & Mia Izabella Chavez.

Visitation is scheduled from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the recitation of The Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, March 1, 2024, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. The chapel opens at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 02, 2024, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. A mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at San Pedro Catholic Church and Interment is to follow at Las Rucias Memorial Cemetery.
