It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Dean Sampson. He died on February 15, 2024 at Aurora’s House in Weslaco, TX. He was born in Elkhart, Indiana on February 22, 1936.
He is preceded in death by his parents Orville Lee and Valeria Sampson; his wife Dorothy (Batson) Sampson; his three children Richard Dean Sampson Jr., Dennis Jay Sampson, and Faith Bosworth; his siblings Donald, Melvin, Albert, Virginia, Mary Alice and Naomi.
He is survived by his sister, Sharon Glass; his 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
The Sampson family will hold a memorial service at a later time.
