Eliseo Cortes Torres, 58, of Brownsville, Texas, beloved brother, uncle, and friend, entered eternal rest on Monday, January 29, 2024, in Monterrey, Mexico.
Eliseo is survived by his parents. Valentin and Angelica Cortez; his sisters, Deborah Cortez, Olga Cortez (Julio Acosta), and Malena Cortez de Forbes (Mike Forbes); his brothers, Oscar Cortez (Chayito Ipiña de Cortez) and Valentin Cortez Jr., (Cecilia Peña de Cortez); his nieces, Valeria Calderon Cortez, Estefany Cortez Ipiña; nephews, Alex Cortez, Moises Cortez, Gabriel Cortez, Oscar Cortez Ipiña, Martin Garcia Cortez, Andres Garcia Cortez, Michael Forbes, and Paul Forbes.
Visitation is scheduled from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, February 05, 2024, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. The chapel opens at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 06, 2025, with a Funeral Mass at 9:00 a.m. and interment is to follow at 10:00 a.m. to Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
