Juan Gonzalez

Juan Gonzalez 75, of Brownsville, TX, devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, entered into eternal rest on December 21, 2023, at Valley Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family. He was born in El Jardin, TX on February 19, 1948.

Juan is preceded in death by his parents Aurelio and Severa Gonzalez.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Juanita Gonzalez; four sons Abel Gonzalez, Ruben Gonzalez, Rene Gonzalez, and Rey Gonzalez; his three daughters Sylvia Gonzalez Sandoval, Karina Gonzalez Ruiz, and Maria Gonzalez; his siblings Nicolas Gonzalez, Jesus Gonzalez, Gregoria Gonzalez Pretre, Maria Gonzalez; 17 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.

Visitation is scheduled from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 28, 2023, with the Prayer Service starting at 6:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. The chapel opens at 8:00 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home and a Chapel Service will be held at 10:00 a.m.  Interment will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park at 11:00 a.m.
