Carlos Alberto Leal, 53, of Brownsville, TX, devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend, entered eternal rest on December 5, 2023, at Valley Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family. He was born in Brownsville, TX on May 09, 1970.

Carlos passed away leaving behind a legacy of warmth, faith, and devotion to his family. Known for his tireless work ethic, Carlos dedicated his life to ensuring the well-being of his loved ones. His home was a representation of hospitality, where his welcoming smile and open arms greeted everyone.

A man of profound faith, Carlos found strength and comfort in his belief in GOD. His faith was the center of his life, guiding him in every action and decision. He was a familiar and cherished figure in his neighborhood, often seen walking his dogs and engaging in friendly conversations with neighbors. His sociable nature and genuine interest in others brightened the lives of many.

Carlos’s love for grilling was more than a hobby; it was a means of bringing family and friends together. His home was the heart of many gatherings, especially during birthdays and celebrations, where his warm hospitality created unforgettable memories.

Carlos was dedicated to maintaining family traditions. His regular visits to his parents and siblings for Sunday gatherings were a testament to his commitment to family unity and love.

As a final act of kindness and faith, Carlos always asked his visitors to join him in a quick prayer before they left, a small gesture that reflected his deep faith in GOD.

Carlos’s absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him. His legacy of love, faith, and family will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched. He was truly a family man whose memory will be cherished forever.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Rosa Maria Ramirez; his mother, Josefina Botello, and his father Eleuterio Botello; his two sons Carlos Alberto Leal Jr. and Alberto Sebastian Leal; and his beloved pet dogs Mindy and Jase; and his siblings, Diana (Johny) Garcia, Mary Botello, Rosaura (Gerado) Cantu, Juan Manuel (Marisela) Botello.

Visitation is scheduled from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 14, 2023, with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. The chapel opens at 9:30 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home and a Mass of Resurrection will be held at 12:00 p.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Los Fresnos, TX. Internment is to follow at 1:00 p.m. at Buena Vista Burial Park.
