Maria Herminia Elizondo

Maria Herminia Elizondo, 94, of Brownsville, Tx, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and brined, entered eternal rest on November 27, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Brownsville, TX, on January 09, 1929.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Adalberto Elizondo; two sons, Reynaldo Elizondo, and David Elizondo; one daughter, Maria Cristina Ramos; and her parents, Simon, and Eulalia Rodriguez.

Left to cherish her memory is one son, Pedro Elizondo; one sister, Lydia Lopez; her daughter-in-law Lucia Elizondo; her grandchildren, Linda Ramos, Lisa Ramos, Phillip Ramos, Miroslava Elizondo, David Elizondo Jr., Rosell and Debbie Elizondo ; great-grandchildren, Aylene Lumbreras, Karyme Elizondo, Gustavo and Arlette Sanchez, Cristina, Ethan and Victoria Ramos, David Aaden Elizondo, Samantha and Mario Torres; Great-great-grandchildren, Gianni Ritz, Reynaldo, and Luz Gaytan; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Herminia loved attending “bailes,” dressing up and putting on her finest clothes, and taking care of her family. Above all, she liked spending time with her loved ones and listening to music, particularly Juan Gabriel, who was her favorite musician.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 03, 2023, with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Services will continue Monday, December 04, 2023, with departure of funeral procession at 11:30 a.m. to celebrate Mass of Resurrection at 12:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
