Frederick Rolla Drew, 78, of Brownsville, TX, devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, entered eternal rest upon receiving the Last Rites of the Holy Catholic Church on November 22, 2023, at Rio at Fox Hollow surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Malone, New York on July 26, 1945.
Frederick was a graduate of Kane University of New Jersey, served proudly in the U.S. Navy in Vietnam. He worked as a supervisor for U.S. Customs. Frederick never complained about his challenges and sufferings. He always was thankful to God for his life and family.
He is preceded in death by his parents Lloyd and Myrtle Drew, and his sister Elizabeth Jane Drew.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Mersa (Miraflores); his children, Shawn Manuel, and Shannon Emilia; his son-in-law Ryan Michael; his grandchildren, Rowan and Julian; and his brother Lawrence.
Visitation is scheduled from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 30, 2023, with recitation of the Holy Rosary at 12:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Mass of Resurrection will be at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Services conclude at the end of the mass.
