Lauro “Larry” Diaz

Lauro “Larry” Diaz

Lauro Diaz, 60, known by many as Larry, known even more simply for his mustache and deep voice. Was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, cousin, and a friend to many. Has entered into eternal rest, November 19,2023. Born in Brownsville on Valentine’s Day in 1963, Larry is preceded in death by his mother, Julia Lopez, and father Marcelino Diaz, Farther-in-law, Mauricio Martinez, and Sister, Leticia “Lety” Diaz. Left to cherish his memories are Pollyana Martinez Diaz, his partner, Soulmate, his wife. Their children along with their spouses and significant others: Lauro Steven & Melissa Diaz, Mauricio Daniel Diaz & Madeline Liedner, Nakul & Pollyana Julia Diaz-Patel. Their Grandchildren: Izzabella Marie Diaz, Melody Lovette Diaz, and Logan Hezekiah Diaz. As well as his surviving siblings:  Marcelino (Zoila), Jose Felipe (Erika), and Jerry (Elizabeth). His Uncle David and Aunt Bertha. His In-laws, Polly, Sophia (Marshall), Carlos (Elvia), and Diana (Duke). Including many nephews, nieces, and cousins. His McAllen Village, Tony (Marisa), Brooks (Bel) and Alvaro (Cynthia). Mr. Elwin Herman and Guadalupe “Lupe”, Joseph “Joe” Guerra, and the rest of the South Texas Vending family.

Larry was more than a friend; he was a brother and compadre in spirit, a cherished part of our lives. His kindness, warmth, and genuine spirit touched everyone fortunate enough to know him.  His ever-present mustache gently hid his sneaky smiles and grins, adding a touch of mischief to our cherished memories. Today, we remember the good times, the shared laughter, and the countless memories that have now become treasures of our hearts.
