Josefa G. Perez, 95, of Brownsville, TX devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, and friend, entered eternal rest Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Valley Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born in San Marcos, Texas on March 19, 1928.
She was preceded in death by her parents Lorenzo Gutierrez and Elvira Hernandez, her husband Porfirio Perez and her daughter Josefina P. Velasquez.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving children Mario A. Perez, Maria de Jesus Salazar, Elvira P. Lozano, Porfirio Perez, Jr., and Lizette Velasquez, also numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 24, 2023, with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Services continue Saturday, November 25, 2023, with the Chapel opening at 10:30 a.m. a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church at 11:30 a.m. and burial to follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
