Hilario Castro Medrano, 88, of Brownsville, TX, devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, entered into eternal rest on November 06, 2023, at his residence by his loving family. He was born in Mexico on January 14, 1935.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Praxedis Medrano de Castro, and his father Concepcion Castro Garcia; his son, Jorge Luis Castro; and his brothers Beto Castro, Jose Castro, and Pascual Castro; and his sisters Eva Castro, Cuca Castro, Maria Elena Castro, and Maria Jesus Castro.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Maria Concepcion Castro; his daughters Maria Rodriguez, Nora Alvarado, Concepcion Raygoza, and Olga Piña; his grandchildren, Maria F. Rodriguez, Saulo Rodriguez Jr., Hilario Rodriguez, Yadira Rodriguez, Joel Rodriguez, Samuel Rodriguez, Samantha Rodriguez, Rene Alvarado Jr., Erik Alvarado, Leslie Alvarado, Michelle Raygoza, Monica Raygoza, Sergio Raygoza Jr., Josie Castro, Jorge Castro Jr., Luis Castro, Cristian Castro, Lydia Herrera, Brenda Piña, and Jorge Piña Jr.; his siblings Cirilo Castro, Roberto Castro, Vicente Castro, Raul Castro, and Catalina Castro.
Visitation is scheduled for Hilario Castro Medrano from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 12, 2023, with a chapel service at 3:00 P.M. and the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation continues at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, November 13, 2023, followed by funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsil Catholic Church. Interment to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Buena Vista Burial Park.
