Homero Quintanilla Benavidez, 87, of Harlingen, TX, devoted father, grandfather,
great grandfather, brother, and friend entered into eternal rest at his residence on
September 18, 2023.
He is preceded in death by his wife Flora D. Benavidez, son Homero Benavidez,
grandson Cedric N. Barajas, granddaughter Ana Maria Camargo, Grandon Geno
Serna, grandson Jerry Serna, siblings Pedro Benavidez, Manuel Benavidez, Oralia
Benavidez, Olga Benavidez, Leonardo Benavidez, and Ofelia Benavidez.
Left to cherish his memory is his sons Oscar (Alma) Benavidez, Gerardo
Benavidez, daughters Dora Benavidez, Frances Camargo, son Alfredo (Yolanda)
Serna, daughters Carmen Serna, Maria (Rafael) Benavidez and son Juan (Cindy)
Serna, daughter Ofelia (Gerardo) Barajas, son Ramiro Gerardo (Monica)
Benavidez, daughter Esmeralda (Noe) Cisneros and son Salvador (Cindy)
Benavidez. His siblings, Ofilia Cavazos, Estephanie Agudo, Rafaela Benavidez,
and Eugenio Benavidez, 50 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and
numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation is scheduled from 12PM to 8PM on Friday September 22, 2023, with a
Prayer Service at 6PM. Services conclude at the end of the evening.
