Maria Guadalupe Alanis, 53, of Brownsville, TX, entered eternal rest on Monday, September 11, 2023, at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville, surrounded by her loving family.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Felipe Velasquez; three daughters and one son, Christy (Mario) Sepulveda, Eduardo (Elide) Rocha, Claudia Alaniz, Viviana (Daniel) Escobedo; seventeen grandchildren, Leslie, Crystal, Kaylee, Mario, Eduardo, Diamond Ly, Yanileysi, Lynette, Victoria, Mateo, Joshua, Lilian, Victor, Angela, Hugo, Brissa, Omar; and one great-granddaughter on the way.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with a prayer service being held at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will continue from 12:00 p.m. until chapel funeral ceremony time of 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Christian burial will follow at Guillen Community Cemetery in Brownsville, TX.
