Jesus Rivera Cisneros, 83, of Brownsville, Texas, devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, entered into eternal rest on Friday, August 11th,2023 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
He is preceded in death by his wife San Juanita Rivera; his mother, Magdalena Cisneros, his father, Seferino Rivera; his three brothers, Abelardo Vallejo, Santana Vallejo, and Aurelio Vallejo and one sister Guadalupe Salinas.
Left to cherish his memory are his twelve children, Marisa Rivera (Roberto Estrada), Jennifer Rivera, Erika Rivera (Jose Ybarra Jr.), Jesus Rivera Jr., Seferino Rivera, Domingo Rivera, Jose Rivera, Juana Rivera, Gricelda Rivera, Graciela Rivera, Enedina Rivera, and Ana Rivera; his nine grandchildren, Conrado Jesus Rivera, Christian Rivera, Jayden Trejo, Erasmo Trejo, Isaias A. Ybarra, San Juanita Ybarra, and Jose Ybarra III; his four siblings, Jose Rivera, Lidia M. Chapa, Benito Moreno, Juan Diego Cisneros, Cynthia Mendez, and Michael Mendez.
Serving has honorary pallbearers will be Roberto Estrada, Jose Ybarra Jr., Conrado Jesus Rivera, Christian Rivera, Isaias A. Ybarra, and Octavio Diaz.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 13, 2023, with a prayer service at 6:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. The chapel opens at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, August 14, 2023, with a chapel service at 2:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Interment is to follow at 3:00 p.m. at Guillen Community Cemetery.
