David “Gino†Perez, 62 of Brownsville, TX entered into eternal rest on July 12, 2023, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Carlos and Trinidad Rodriguez; his father Gilberto A. Perez, Sr.; his Stepfather, Arnoldo Gomez; and his 2 sisters Martha Laura Perez and Cynthia Perez.

Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Ninfa R. Gomez; his 2 sons Gino Osvaldo Perez and Roberto David Perez; his loving wife Rosa Alicia Martinez; 4 siblings Gilberto A. Perez Jr., Alfredo C. Perez (Diana), Linda Perez Lutz (Bill), Jaime A. Perez (Melanie); and nieces and nephews, Crystal Perez (Will), Carlos “Charlie†Perez, Richard A. Perez (Cynthia), Rebecca A. Sanchez (Joey), Ricardo Uribe (Melanie),  Lisa Marie Perez, Kylie, Cage, and Cory.

Gino was a graduate of Homer Hanna High School, in Brownsville TX, class of 1980. Upon graduation he enlisted in the United States Marine Corp and served his country proudly for 10 years. He continued to serve his country after being honorably discharged by becoming a United States Postal Service Carrier. After Gino’s’ retirement a few years ago he enjoyed spending his time at family gatherings, bar-b-cues, and was an avid Dallas Cowboys Fan. He also enjoyed spending time with his Brothers-In-Arms at the local Veterans of Foreign Wars Post. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him. Rest in peace Marine, “Semper Fiâ€.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, from 1PM to 8PM with Military Honors at 5PM, followed by recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Services conclude at the end of the evening.
