Jesus Antonio “Chuchis” Niño

Jesus Antonio “Chuchis†Niño, a 45-year-old talented artist, avid poet, and lover of classic cars, cats, and music, went to meet our Lord on Sunday, April 16th, 2023.

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, was born a man destined to touch the lives of those around him with his love for family and friends. Jesus “Chuchis†was born in Brownsville, Texas on February 4, 1978.

He is preceded in death by his father, Fernando Niño, and is survived by his mother, Margarita Franco Niño, his sisters, Elisa Daniella (Julio Rodriguez), Marisa (Louis Leal), and niece Madison Faith Leal.

As a gifted poet, he had a talent for weaving together words and emotions to create something beautiful and meaningful. Through this poetry, he was able to express his own struggles and joys while also connecting with others on a deep and profound level. As a brother, he was a loyal ally, a steadfast companion, and a true friend. He was a source of strength and comfort to those around him. He offered his love, guidance, and support to his friends through good times and bad. He was someone you could always count on, who offered a listening ear and a supportive shoulder.

He was a true Star Wars enthusiast, who knew the universe inside and out, from the Rebel Alliance battles to the Galactic Empire politics. He cherished the iconic characters of Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Princess Leia, and his favored, Wookie-Chewy. Though he has left us, we remember the Jedi of the heart. May the Force be with him always, as he journeys on to the next great adventure, where no one is ever really gone.

As we bid farewell to this Jedi of creativity who has gone to join the Force, Jesus, invites you to celebrate his life at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. The celebration will be on Tuesday, April 25th, 2023, with a viewing from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and a prayer service at 6:00 pm. Services will conclude at the end of the evening. Services are under the guidance of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Crematory & Flower Shop. 657 Springmart Blvd., Brownsville, Texas. (956) 350-8485
