Librada Ponce Martinez, 93, of Brownsville, Texas, devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and friend entered into eternal rest on December 24, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
She is preceded in death by her husband Macario Martinez Torres, and her daughter Margarita Martinez.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Juana Trejo, Valentina Cepeda, Francisca Mena, Cesario Martinez, Macario Martinez, and Martin Martinez; 32 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, from 1PM to 8PM with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation continues Thursday, December 29, 2022, at 10AM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral mass to follow at 2PM at San Felipe de Jesus Catholic Church.
