Minerva G. Peña, 77, of Brownsville, Texas, devoted, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend entered into eternal rest on December 22, 2022, at Valley Baptist Medical Center-Brownsville surrounded by her loving family.
She is preceded in death by her parents Isabel Gomez and Jose Jesus Gomez; siblings Jesus Gomez, Oralia Treviño, and Alicia Deanda.
Left to cherish her memory is her children Deana (Santiago Nava) Peña, Lisa Peña, and David Peña; siblings Ofelia (Alfonso) RamÃrez, and Alberto Gómez; grandchildren David Pena Jr., Nickolas Joshua Nava, James Matthew Nava, Stephanie Nicole Pena, Melanie Hope Serrata, Autumn Nicole Nava, and Madison Rose Flores; great-grandchildren Jonathan Jeremiah Nava, Jacob Ayden Nava, Sofia Leah Nava, Aiden Matthew Machado, and Luke Jayden Nava.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, from 3PM to 8PM with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:30PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Services conclude at the end of the evening.
